The musical genre which I favor the most is Hip-Hop. Growing up, I was not exposed to it as much as I am now, for the simple fact that it was never really allowed in my household. However, radio and to a lesser extent television, changed that for me. I remeber being twelve years of age and sneaking into my older brothers room to listen to there CDs that got from there friends. I remeber listening to Tupac Shakur, and just rocking my head back and forth, not really relalizing what he was talking about. Now that I am older, I can appreciate Hip-Hop more, because when I listen I can relate to certain subject matter. A genre I will never have a taste for, is Reggaeton. They claim it is suppose to have a Carribean (Jamaican Raggae) influence, and yet a large percentage sounds like Salsa music with a little bit of techno.

The Gang Goes To Washington
The farthest place I traveled to, was Washington DC for a fieldtrip. It was a very trying time for the nation as whole, because of the 9-11 attacks. As such, there was a high level of security and uncertainty. I had saw and experienced things that left an impression on me for the rest of my life. One such event, was my visit to the Supreme Court. Even at a young age, I knew I wanted to be lawyer so it was a great experience. However, getting through airports during the time was surreal to say the least. Being young and seeing soldiers with loaded rifles slung over there shoulders, changes your perception about life.
Exteme Shopping
If I had $1000 to spend a specific store, it would have to be Wal-Mart. I would have to say, that I do not like going into my local Wal-Mart during the day, but during the early morning hours between 1AM and 3AM, when there are not many people inside the store its not that bad. With $1000, I would be able to buy groceries for the next couple of months. I would base my reason for this purpose on the simple fact that regularly I spend a decent amount of money on food for myself and my household. The $1000 would be well spent, and the income I would usually spend on food and groceries could be saved.

Operation: Occupation
I have held many jobs in my life. Some were fun, while othere were quite demanding. One that I enjoyed with a passion, was that of substitute teacher at my old high school. If you would have asked me years ago, if I ever was going to go back to my high school in any capacity, I would have said no. At the time I was fresh out of college and self empoyed, so when I got the phone call, it was intriguing to say the least. I was a sub for a history class, which had some unruly students in it. The funny things about that, is that I remember being the same way, but my teacher found a way to engage me and challange me. I figured that I would have to do the same for them. To make a long story short, the same students appreciated the fact that I was engaging them and they thanked me. To have a student thank you for believing in them, is a feeling I wish I could share with people. It warmed my heart, because I thought it would be just a job.
Oh The Places We Will Go
As child I always had a deep fascination with pyramids, specifically those in North Africa. If I were able to go on a vacation, my destination would be Egypt for the simple fact that they have pyramids and other wonderful architecture like that of the Sphinx. Interestingly enough my grandfather was a immigrant from Egypt who came over here during the 1950′s. Before his passing, he use to tell me stories of his upbringing. In a way I feel homesick for a place I have never been to. I hope one day I am able to kiss the ground (or sand) that my ancestors before me walked on, if I ever get the chance to vacation there.
I, Me, Myself
I am a Taurean by nature and people think that I have violent tempers and am possessive. But by nature, I am down to earth, soft spoken and mild natured. I love to make friends with people and easily believe them. I love baking, cooking and shopping for home decors. Whenever I get the opportunity, I rush to the nearest store to pick some artifacts or good show pieces. When bored, I read magazines, novels to pass my precious time rather than gossiping about others. I love to keep my home neat and clean and always keep changing things from one place to another to spruce up the look.
My day at Neiman Marcus
If I somehow one a $1000 dollas shopping spree I would easily spend it all at Neiman Marcus. Its not only one of the premiere fashion stores in the world but you can also find some great steals there if you have the eye for it. I would spend my money on some clothes of course. Id buy some nice jeans and some polos shirts to go with is. Id also pick up a few sweater vests and a pari of nice boots. Then Id spend whatever I had left on accessories. Id have to get me some killer shades and maybe a nice wallet. Im sure the money will go fast but, Ill look good when Im done with my day at Neimans. They always seem to be able to have just what I need in order to put the perfect outfit together for myself. Man, now I need to get my hands on a shopping spree so I can go back to neimans and blow some cheese.

My time in the work force
Im 23 years old and have had a few jobs in my time. I started out working at the mall in San Francisco. I took that job because I wanted to meet girls and the mall always had plenty of them to see and enjoy. I worked at Champs Sports. After that I graduated High School and joined the military. I enlisted in the Navy and have spent some amazing years there meeting great people and seeing parts of the amazing world we live in. In the Navy I worked as a Mechanical Engineer. Im getting ready to get out in the next few months once this deployment is over. By far that is the favorite of the two jobs that Ive had. I got to work on expensive and impressive equipment and see the world while doing it. Surpisingly I also made some great money. The friendships and places I have gotten to see will trump the money everytime though. Hopefully after my adventure is over I’ll find another job that is as good as this one.
The place in the world I want my travels to take me
There are many places in our amazing world that I would love to visit and explore one day. However if I only had one choice I would have to select the Spanish island Ibiza. Ibiza is an island that I have heard and seen a lot about. Its off the coast of Spain and its frequented by lots of wild and crazy Europeans and other visitors from afar. It’s a place that is not only naturally beautiful but also filled with loft of beautiful people having a great time. It ssupposed to be a 24 hour party like no other and I want to experience it. Im very big into adventures and have found that partying in Europe is something that we must all do in our lifetime. So hopefully my next destination will be Ibiza. If not then I’ll find some place to go until its time for me to enjoy my Ibiza vacation.
Okay, I confess! I love Top Ramen!
As a self-proclaimed foodie that hates the term foodie, I must confess that I have a dirty MSG laden secret… I love Top Ramen! Some people might think it’s not a big deal, but it really is. First off, I am totally against processed foods. Second off, I am against empty calories. Third off, I eat at top rated restaurants and am suppose to have a refined palate, but with all that said some reconstituted dried ramen with a seasoning packet that consists of something similar to crushed bouillon cubes with lots of salt brings so much joy to my life. I actually prefer to eat it as a bowl of noodles and add in some vegetables and sometimes even egg. It is absolutely delicious! Sure, it’s a guilty pleasure, but it’s my guilty please and at ten cents a package, it’s a redeemable sin.
